Thunderbird Tipis are manufactured to the highest standards in the beautiful Scottish countryside by Joe Pieraccini. The tipi in the picture above is 16 feet internal diameter and 16 feet tall and costs £1200. It has a groundsheet sown into the internal wall which completely excludes any draughts. It is made from marquee quality 12 ounce canvas and is waterproof, fire-proof, and rot-proof. A wood fire can be built in the centre of the tipi, and the groundsheet is rolled back for that purpose. Thunderbird Tipis will soon be producing a fire grill to cover the fire. This will serve both to prevent unwanted sparks and to allow cooking inside the tipi.
